Anne Napolitano of South Huntington has been named Suffolk County Legislator Tom Donnelly’s 2025 Non-Profit Volunteer of the Year, an honor recognizing her sustained efforts on behalf of nonprofit organizations and her advocacy for Suffolk County’s senior population, according to county officials.
Napolitano received the distinction during a recognition ceremony held Nov. 20 at the William H. Rogers Legislature Building in Hauppauge. At the event, Donnelly presented her with an official Suffolk County proclamation alongside other honorees selected by legislators across the county.
Donnelly, who represents the 17th Legislative District—including portions of Baywood, Deer Park, Dix Hills, Huntington, Melville, North Babylon, North Bay Shore, and South Huntington—praised Napolitano’s impact and commitment to service.
“Anne Napolitano’s dedication to serving others and supporting RSVP and other organizations that make a difference in people’s lives is exemplary and inspiring,” Donnelly said. “Through her expertise and heart for service, she strengthens our community, and it is a privilege to honor her as my 2025 Non-Profit Volunteer of the Year.”
Napolitano was nominated for the award by Maryflorence Brennan, executive director of RSVP Suffolk, Donnelly’s office said. The recognition falls under Resolution No. 602-2024, which designates November as Nonprofit Volunteer Appreciation Month in Suffolk County and allows each legislator to select a nonprofit volunteer for acknowledgment.

Professionally, Napolitano is the founder and chief executive officer of Anne Napolitano Consulting, where she oversees a team focused on helping businesses and nonprofit organizations achieve financial clarity and long-term sustainability. Outside her consulting work, she has donated her time and expertise to a range of causes, including her church, local schools, and the Friends of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Suffolk.
Her involvement with RSVP began after she learned about the organization’s mission to connect residents ages 55 and older with meaningful volunteer opportunities and essential services.
