Otto Kahn Scholarships Open for Huntington High School Seniors Pursuing the Arts

Aspiring artists, musicians, and performers in the Town of Huntington have a unique opportunity to turn their creative dreams into reality. The Friends of Oheka, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the historic Oheka Castle, is now accepting applications for the prestigious Otto Kahn Scholarship. High school seniors planning to major in the performing arts, visual arts, or music in college are encouraged to apply.

The scholarship, named in honor of financier and philanthropist Otto Kahn, who originally built Oheka Castle in the early 20th century, aims to support the next generation of artistic talent.

Winners will not only receive financial awards but will also have their talents showcased at the Friends of Oheka’s annual Garden Party, scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, at the iconic Oheka Castle.

“We’re thrilled to continue Otto Kahn’s legacy of supporting the arts with the continued vision of Oheka’s owner, Gary Melius,” stated a representative from Friends of Oheka.

Applications are available at the guidance or principal’s offices of the following high schools:

  • Cold Spring Harbor
  • Half Hollow Hills East
  • Half Hollow Hills West
