The Town of Huntington, NY is gearing up to pay tribute to our beloved veterans and active-duty service members with the Hometown Heroes Banner Program, and the deadline to purchase a custom banner is just around the corner! In partnership with Supervisor Edmund J. Smyth and the Huntington Town Board, the Kiwanis Club of Huntington is proud to present this special program that recognizes and honors the sacrifices of our local heroes.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, the Kiwanis Club of Huntington has been serving the needs of our community since 1951. With all net proceeds benefiting needy children, the elderly, and veterans programs, this is an opportunity to show support for our local community and make a difference in the lives of those who have bravely served our country.
The custom-made banners will be displayed on lampposts throughout the Town of Huntington from Memorial Day to Veterans Day in 2023. It’s a chance to showcase your beloved veteran, servicewoman, or serviceman and express gratitude for their service. The deadline for purchasing a sponsorship of a banner is approaching fast, so don’t miss out on this opportunity to participate in this meaningful program!
Order forms can be found on the Kiwanis Club of Huntington’s website at huntingtonkiwanis.org, or you can call 631-991-2001 or email herobanners@huntingtonkiwanis.org for more information. For a sponsorship fee of $200, you can have a custom banner displayed in the Town of Huntington, proudly honoring your loved one from Memorial Day to Veterans Day. Just send in your form with a picture of your veteran, and the Kiwanis Club will take care of the rest.
By purchasing a banner, not only will you be expressing your appreciation for our veterans and active-duty service members, but you’ll also be supporting the children and veterans of Huntington Township through the Kiwanis Club’s charitable efforts. We are devoted to serving the children in our local community and also children all across the country and worldwide through unique and innovative service projects and fundraising initiatives.

- Supporting high school students engage in community service through Key Clubs (student-lead international service organizations) at Half Hollow Hills High School East, Half Hollow Hills High School West, Harborfields High School and Huntington High School
